DWI MISDEMEANOR
If you’ve been stopped for a DWI on northeast Missouri roadways, you need immediate legal assistance. Under Missouri law you will typically be charged with a Class B misdemeanor if it’s your first or second DWI offense. If convicted you could receive the following punishment:

- Up to a year in jail
- A fine of up to one thousand dollars ($1,000.00)
- A license suspension of one (1) to five (5) years
- An ignition interlock device (IID) requirement for a hardship license or
- license reinstatement
- SATOP/VIP
You may also be forced to deal with higher insurance rates, loss of professional license, loss of employment, embarrassment. There are often errors committed by those who administer roadside sobriety tests and equipment used for breath tests if often unreliable due to operator error or failure to maintain the equipment in good condition.
